Three children face the camera, two standing close together with one partially behind the wicker, and a boy further right holding the edge and looking slightly down. Another child at the front right leans forward gripping the wicker and standing with wet legs. In the background a simple wooden railing or pier extends into the water, and small waves wash around the children and the base of the wicker, creating foamy water and wet sand at the foreground. The sky appears pale and overcast, and the overall image has worn, aged tones and slight spotting.
