The eyes are rounded with carved pupils and surrounding eyelids, and the nose is broad with subtle weathering marks. The surface of the stone shows variations in tone and small pitted spots, with darker shadowed areas along the left side of the face and under the chin. The photograph itself has a narrow border and visible paper grain.
