Flanking the relief on both sides are vertical decorative garlands tied with bows at the top, each garland incorporating ribbonlike elements and ornamental shapes. The relief rests on a projecting stone shelf supported by carved brackets, with two curved metal supports hanging down from the shelf. The overall image has a sepia tone and shows the wall surrounding the relief as a plain, light surface.
