On the left stands a man in a foot-length hip garment (veshti, lungi) with a second cloth (chadar) wrapped around his waist. His upper body is bare and he wears a headscarf on his head. A woman is crouching diagonally behind him. She is wearing a long wrap-around dress (selai or sari) or wrap-around skirt (redda). The end of the dress or a loose cloth (chadar) is draped over her head and shoulders, leaving her upper body and breasts partially uncovered. The man next to him, like the first man, wears a long hip garment, a shoulder cloth around his waist, and a bare upper body; he has short curly hair. The woman on the far right is wearing a long South Indian wrap dress (selai or sari) the end of which is draped forward over her right shoulder, covering her upper body and tucked around her waist. She has short curly hair. In her left hand, she holds a worn basket.
