One figure stands with arms crossed and a draped cloth over the head and body, the garment falling in folds and the torso and legs visible beneath the fabric. The other figure sits on the rock with a heavy, wrapped cloth covering the head and body, feet exposed and resting on the stone, and a bundle of fabric on the lap. The rocks beneath them are shaded with varying tones and the background is a pale, textured surface.
