A long angled ramp or conveyor extends from the ship toward the right, meeting a series of large cylindrical floats or pontoons that form lines along the water's edge, where a few figures stand and work near ropes and the floats. The foreground shows reflections of the vessel and floats on the water surface, along with parts of a wooden jetty and more cylindrical sections partially visible at the bottom edge, while the distant background is low and flat with a shoreline and scattered small structures.
