One tree is full with a dense canopy of leaves and many cascading branches, the other is straighter and more slender with a thinner crown and several bare branches. A tree stump with exposed roots sits between and slightly in front of the trunks. The foreground features a textured path or clearing with scattered small rocks and tufts of grass. Low distant hills and more vegetation appear along the horizon, and a narrow rectangular border frames the entire image.
