The lower band shows a varied rural scene with a windmill on a hill at the left, a body of water with small boats, an island or rocky promontory with ruined stone structures and dense trees, rolling wooded hills and fields extending into the distance, foreground shrubs and trees, and fences and pathways winding through the terrain, all executed in detailed line engraving.
