Together with four other series, it forms the large series: 'Il nuovo teatro di Roma moderna'., city-view, and landscape with man-made constructions, hotel, i.e. small palace in city, Palazzo Montecitorio, A wide view shows a large classical building with a symmetrical facade, multiple rows of rectangular windows, decorative cornices, and a central entrance topped by a small tower with statues and a clocklike circular feature; the roofline is punctuated by chimneys and small statues. In front of the building is an open paved area with concentric circular steps and small groups of people standing or kneeling. To the right, a tall spiraled column with a statue on top rises beside another multi-story building with rows of windows. The foreground is crowded with numerous figures in period dress, some on horseback, some carrying standards and poles, and a cart drawn by horses; clusters of people form processional and combatlike scenes. The sky above is filled with large billowing clouds rendered in fine lines.
