Together with four other series, it forms the large series: 'Il nuovo teatro di Roma moderna'., city-view, and landscape with man-made constructions, hotel, i.e. small palace in city, Galleria Doria Pamphilj, A wide architectural engraving shows a large rectangular palazzo with a symmetrical façade, multiple rows of windows framed with decorative surrounds, and a central entrance flanked by columns and pilasters. The building has a tiled roof with small dormer windows and a taller central pavilion rising above the roofline, topped by a small ornamental finial. Two side wings extend at angles, creating a slight courtyard in front of the main block. The foreground depicts an open paved square with small groups of people in period dress walking, conversing, and engaging in various activities, including a few children playing and a person on horseback. The sky above features horizontal line shading and a few stylized clouds and flying birds. The image is rendered in fine linear engraving with strong contrast between shaded and unshaded areas.
