Together with four other series, it forms the large series: 'Il nuovo teatro di Roma moderna'., hotel, i.e. small palace in city, Palazzo Madama (Rome), A detailed black and white engraving shows a large rectangular palatial building with three visible stories and a decorative cornice and roofline adorned with small statues and chimneys, rows of evenly spaced tall windows with ornate pediments on the upper floors and arched windows on the middle floor, a grand central doorway with a balcony above and a sculptural crest above the balcony, rusticated corner stones on the building edges, a long side façade extending into a narrow street lined with additional buildings, a paved open square in front of the palace with small groups of people walking and standing, several dogs on the square, shadowed areas indicating sunlight direction, a few smaller buildings flanking the palace, and a sky filled with stylized clouds.
