To the left and behind the main tree are additional smaller trees and undergrowth sketched with similar light, stippled marks. The foreground contains uneven ground and rocky surfaces indicated by shaded, cross-hatched lines, while the middle ground opens to a flatter, grassy area with low shrubs and small plants. Near the right middle ground two small human figures stand beside a low fence or bank, drawn with simple, vertical strokes. The distant background on the right side features a faint suggestion of a built skyline with slender spires and low structures, and the sky is lightly shaded with horizontal pencil lines.
