Accompanying it is an angel with a laurel wreath and quill, a swan, and a candle on a candlestick in scrollwork., printmaker: Simon Frisius, after design by David Roelands, Flushing, 1616 - 1617, paper, engraving, gravure, height 228 mm x width 345 mm, calligraphy, A sheet with decorative ink calligraphy flourishes and pen drawings on aged paper, featuring a large ornate header in dark ink across the top, a central playful cherub-like face formed from looping lines and surrounded by wing-like swirls, numerous elegant spirals and overlapping circular loops filling much of the page, a tall vertical column of stacked rounded curls on the right ending in an oval base, a stylized swan-like bird composed of flowing curved strokes near the lower left, areas of dense looping penwork contrasted with sections of finer, more compact script, faint paper discoloration and small spots in places, and a light background texture from the paper fiber.
