The upper left contains a decorative initial with intricate floral-like engraving beside closely set dark serif text; a thin vertical rule separates the upper dense text block at right from the left portion. The lower portion features lines of heavy angular blackletter strokes with prominent verticals and rounded forms, interspersed with delicate curving tails and small ornamental marks, all set within a faint rectangular frame. The page background shows uneven cream coloring, light spotting and smudges, and a darker smudge near the lower center edge.
