The woman holds a long golden staff and the child holds a small spherical object topped with a cross. The oval inner frame is decorated with intricate gold and dark patterns and small floral motifs in red, pink, blue, and green. Surrounding the oval is an ornate border with scrolling acanthus designs in gold and dark brown. The background outside the oval is a muted beige, and the overall palette includes gold, dark blue, red, green, beige, pink, and brown.
