Obverse: bust of Khosroes I facing right; wearing a crown with korymbos, a crescent with a star on the right and a star on the left; short curly beard, hair tied back in a lock; beads on his neck (central one three triangular beads) and a second long chain; earring of three triangular beads; outside the rim three crescents; Pahlavi legend. Reverse: fire altar; left of altar the ruler facing forward holding a sword, right of altar a priest facing forward holding a sword; star top left and crescent top right; signs/monograms on both sides; pearl rim; Pahlavi legend. Sassanid art; Sassanid Kingdom; Iran (Persia). Date: 537–579. Coin: diameter 25.0 mm, weight 2.50 g.
