Reverse: Salus (personification) seated on a throne facing left, feeding a snake wrapped around an altar with a patera in her outstretched right hand; left hand rests on the back of the seat, inscription SALVS. Marcus Aurelius (121–180; Roman emperor 161–180) issuer. Iconography: altars, paterae, personifications, snakes. Date: 161–176. Culture/place: Roman Empire, Rome. Medium: coin. Dimensions: diameter 17.0–18.0 mm, weight 3.00 g, axis 0°.
