Sestertius, Marcus Aurelius (121–180; Roman emperor 161–180), issuer. Obverse: head of Marcus Aurelius with laurel wreath facing right, inscription 'P CAES M AVREL - ANTONINVS AVG', mint mark 'M' all around. Reverse: Salus stands left; in her right hand she holds a patera from which she feeds a snake wrapped around an altar, in her left hand a scepter; inscription 'SALVTI AVGVSTOR TR P XVII, in the COS III' and 'SC'. Date: 162–163 CE. Roman Empire, Rome. Coin; diameter 31.0–32.0 mm, weight 22.70 g, axis 345°.
