Sestertius, posthumous issue for Faustina the Elder (98–141; Roman empress 138–141), issued under Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161). Obverse: bust of Faustina I in drapery facing right, inscription DIVAE FAVSTINAE around. Reverse: Aeternitas (personification) veiled, seated left on a throne, holding a globe with a phoenix in her outstretched right hand and a scepter in her left, inscription AETERNITAS around; mint mark in exergue. After 141 CE. Roman Empire, Rome. Coin (sestertius): diam. 29.5–31.0 mm, weight 25.45 g, axis 345°.
