Denarius, posthumous issue for Faustina the Elder (98–141; Roman empress 138–141), issued under Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161). Obverse: Bust of Faustina I in drapery facing right, inscription D IVA - FAVSTINA around. Reverse: Vesta standing left, holding a statuette of Athena (palladium) in her outstretched right hand and a scepter in her left; inscription V E - S - TA around. After 141, Rome, Roman Empire (27 BC–476). Silver coin; diameter 17.0 mm, weight 3.15 g, axis 180°.
