Denarius, posthumous issue for Faustina the Elder (98–141; Roman empress 138–141), struck under Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161) after 141 CE, Roman Empire, Rome. Obverse: Bust of Faustina I in drapery facing right, inscription DIVA FAVSTINA. Reverse: Providentia standing left, holding a globe in her outstretched right hand and a windblown veil, inscription AETERNITAS. Coin: silver denarius, diameter ~17–18 mm, weight 3.25 g, axis 180°.
