Denarius, Faustina the Elder (98–141; Roman empress 138–141) (posthumously), issuer Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161). Obverse: Bust of Faustina I in drapery facing right, inscribed D IVA - FA, TINA around. Reverse: Ceres in a veil stands to the left; in her outstretched right hand she holds ears of corn and in her left hand a long torch, inscription C - E - R, S around. Iconography: Ceres, ears of corn, torches; Faustina the Elder—iconography. After 141, Roman Empire (27 BC–476), Rome. Coin: silver denarius; diameter 15.5–17.0 mm, weight 2.95 g, axis 180°.
