Denarius, posthumous issue for Faustina the Elder (98–141; Roman empress 138–141), struck under Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161). Obverse: Bust of Faustina I in drapery facing right, inscription DIV A - FAVSTINA. Reverse: Ceres in a veil standing left, holding a short torch in her right hand and a scepter in her left, inscription A VGV - STA. Iconography: Faustina I; Roman deities: Ceres. After 141 CE, Roman Empire (27 BCE–476 CE), Rome. Coin, diameter 16.0–18.0 mm, weight 3.40 g, axis 180°.
