Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161), issuer. Obverse: Head of Antoninus Pius in a laurel wreath facing right, inscription NINVS AVG PI-VS PP TR. Reverse: Annona (personification) standing right, holding two ears of corn in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left; on the ground at left a container (modius) and at right the stern of a ship, inscription AN NO-NA AVG; fields marked SC. Iconography: ears of corn, Annona, modius, ships, personifications. Date: 140–144. Roman Empire, Rome. Coin. Diameter 25.0–26.5 mm; weight 10.30 g; axis 180°.
