Denarius of Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161). Obverse: Head of Antoninus Pius in a laurel wreath facing right, inscribed NINVS AVG - PIVS PP IMP I. Reverse: Annona stands to the right with one leg on the prow of a ship, holding a long rudder in her right hand and a container with ears of grain (modius) in her left; inscribed TR POT X - X - COS III. Iconography: Annona (personification), personifications; motifs include head of the emperor, modius, ships, rudders. Date: 156–157. Roman Empire, Rome. Coin, diameter 15.5–16.0 mm, weight 3.50 g, axis 180°.
