Denarius, Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161), issuer: Antoninus Pius. Obverse: head of the emperor in a laurel wreath facing right, inscription ONINVS AVG - PIVS. Reverse: Annona (personification) stands left; in her right hand she holds ears of corn above a container (modius), in her left hand she holds a long rudder resting on a ship, inscription T·POT XXI - C. Iconography: Annona, ears of corn, personifications, ships, rudders. Date: 157–158. Roman Empire. Coin. Diameter 15.0–16.0 mm, weight 2.87 g, axis 180 degrees.
