Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman Emperor 138–161), issuer. Bust of Antoninus Pius in a laurel wreath and paludamentum to the right, inscription 'ANTONIN, AVG -, P TR P XV' all around; reverse: Salus standing left, holding a patera above an altar around which a snake coils, in left hand a long scepter, inscription 'SA - LVS -, COS IIII' all around, 'in SC' in fields. Iconography: head of the emperor in a laurel wreath, altars, Salus feeding a snake, snakes, scepters, paludamentums. Date: 151–152. Place: Roman Empire (27 BC–476), Rome. Object: coin; diameter 25.5–27.0 mm; weight 8.46 g; axis 165°.
