Denarius of Antoninus Pius (reigned 138–161). Obverse: head of the emperor wearing a laurel wreath, facing right, inscription IMP CAE AEL HADR ANTONINVS P P. Reverse: Pietas standing right; with right hand lowered she holds a fawn by the neck, in her left hand she holds a bowl of fruit above an altar, inscription TR POT XIIII COS IIII; legend PIETAS. Rome, 150–151 CE. Roman Empire. Silver coin; diameter 16.0–17.5 mm, weight 2.55 g, axis 195°.
