Denarius, Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161), issuer. Obverse: head of the emperor in a laurel wreath facing right, legend I P CAES T AEL HADR AN - ONINVS AVG PIVS PP. Reverse: Pietas stands to the right; with his right hand lowered he holds a fawn by the neck, in his left hand he holds a bowl of fruit above an altar, legend TR POT XIIII - CO S IIII. Inscription/section: PIETA, 150–151. Roman Empire (27 BC–476), Rome. Coin. Diameter 17.5–18.0 mm, weight 2.95 g, axis 180 degrees.
