Sestertius, Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161), issuer. Obverse: Head of Antoninus Pius in a laurel wreath to the right, inscription ONINVS AVG - PIVS PP TR P XI. Reverse: Annona (personification) standing left, holding ears of corn above a container (modius) in her right hand and an anchor in her left; inscription ANNO - A AVG, COS IIII in the section, SC in the fields. Iconography: Annona, ears of corn, anchors; personifications; head of the emperor in a laurel wreath; modi. Date: 148–149. Roman Empire (27 BC–476), Rome. Coin: diameter 31.5–32.0 mm, weight 24.07 g, axis 180 degrees.
