Denarius of Antoninus Pius (reigned 138–161). Obverse: head of the emperor in a laurel wreath facing right, inscription ANTONINV, AVG - PIVS PP TR P XII. Reverse: Salus standing left, feeding a snake coiled around an altar with a patera in her right hand and holding a rudder on a globe in her left, inscription C - OS - IIII. Dated 148–149. Roman Empire; Rome. Coin. Diameter 17.0–18.0 mm, weight 2.90 g, axis 165°.
