Denarius of Antoninus Pius (r. 138–161). Obverse: Head of Antoninus Pius in a laurel wreath facing right, inscription 'ANTONINVS AVG PIVS PP TR P XII'. Reverse: Naked Genius standing frontally with head turned left, holding a patera in his right hand and ears of corn in his left, inscription 'C OS IIII'. Iconography includes personifications, Genius, ears of corn, paterae. Date: 148–149. Roman Empire, Rome. Coin; diameter 17.0 mm; weight 2.85 g; axis 210°.
