Sestertius of Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161). Obverse: head of the emperor in a laurel wreath to the right, legend ANTONINVS AVG PIVS PP TR P XI. Reverse: Annona standing left, holding ears of corn above a modius in her right hand and an anchor in her left, inscription including COS IIII and SC in the fields. Iconography: Annona (personification), ears of corn, anchors. Date: 147–148. Roman Empire, Rome. Coin; diameter c. 31.0–31.5 mm, weight 21.05 g, axis 330°.
