Denarius, Hadrian (76–138; Roman emperor 117–138). Obverse: Bust of Hadrian with laurel wreath facing right; rim inscription: IMPCAESARTRAIANHADRIANVSAVG. Reverse: Salus seated left, wearing a long robe; in her outstretched right hand she holds a patera consecrating gifts on the lit altar before her, a snake entwined around the altar, her left hand rests on the back of a chair; rim inscription: PM TR P COS III; field inscription: SALVS AVG. Dated 119–122, Rome, Roman Empire (27 BC–476). Coin, weight 2.45 g.
