Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161), issuer. Obverse: head of Antoninus Pius in a laurel wreath facing right, inscription ANTONINVS AVG - IVS PP TR P COS III. Reverse: Annona standing right, holding two ears of corn in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left; on the ground left a modius with grain, right the stern of a ship, inscription ANNO - A AVG, in SC fields. Iconography: Annona (personification), ears of corn, modius, emperor's head in a laurel wreath, ships. Date: 140–144. Culture/place: Roman Empire, Rome. Object: coin. Dimensions: diameter 25.0–26.5 mm, weight 10.20 g, axis 180°.
