Dupondius of Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman Emperor 138–161). Obverse: head of the emperor in radiant crown facing right, inscription S AVG - PIVS PP TR P COS III. Reverse: Salus stands left in front of an altar around which a snake is coiled; she holds a patera in her right hand and a long scepter in her left, inscription LVS -; control letters SC in fields. Date: 140–144. Roman Empire, Rome. Coin: bronze, diameter ~26–27 mm, weight 24.50 g, axis 345°.
