Sestertius of Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161). Obverse: head of the emperor in a laurel wreath facing right, inscription 'ANTONINVS AVG PI - VS P, III' around. Reverse: Salus standing left, holding a patera above an altar around which a snake coils in her right hand and a scepter in her left, inscription '- AVG' around, letters 'S - C' in the fields. Date: 140–144. Roman Empire, Rome. Coin; diameter 32.5–34.0 mm, weight 27.67 g, axis 330°.
