Sestertius, Antoninus Pius (86–161; Roman emperor 138–161), issuer; obverse: bust of Antoninus Pius in a laurel wreath and cloak (paludamentum) facing right, inscription ANTONINVS AVG PI - VS PP, COS III; reverse: Annona stands to the right, holding ears of corn above a modius in her lowered right hand and a cornucopia above a ship's prow in her left, inscription ANNO - NA AVG, in SC. Iconography: personifications, ears of corn, modius, Annona, paludamentum, ships, cornucopias. Date: 140–144. Roman Empire, Rome. Coin: diameter 32.0–33.0 mm, weight 21.10 g, axis 30°.
