Denarius, Hadrian (76–138; Roman emperor 117–138). Obverse: bust of Hadrian right, laurel wreath in hair; rim inscription IMPCAESARTRAIANHADRIANVS. Reverse: Libertas standing left, wearing a long robe with draperies, holding a pileus (Phrygian cap) in her right hand and a sceptre in her left; rim inscription PM TR P COS III; on both sides of the figure letters LIB PVB. Date: 119–122. Place: Rome, Roman Empire (27 BC–476). Coin, weight 2.67 g.
