Denarius of Trajan (53–117; Roman emperor 98–117), 103–111 CE. Obverse: head of Trajan right, laureate; rim inscription IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC PM TR. Reverse: Pax standing left in a long robe, holding a torch in her right hand with which she ignites a pile of armor and shields, and a cornucopia in her left; rim inscription COS VP P SPQR OPTIMO PRINC and the word 'PAX' in the field. Silver coin, weight 2.78 g, Roman Empire (27 BC–476), Rome.
