Denarius of Trajan (53–117 CE; Roman emperor 98–117). Obverse: bust of Trajan facing right, wearing a laurel wreath and robe; rim inscription: IMP TRAIANO AVG G. Reverse: the Genius, girded only with a robe, stands facing left; in his outstretched right hand he holds a patera consecrating gifts over the altar below, and in his left hand a cornucopia (horn of plenty); rim inscription: SPQR OP, INCIPI. Date: 103–111 CE. Roman Empire (27 BCE–476 CE). Coin; weight 2.95 g.
