Crown double-ducat by Ernest Dietrich Croll (fl. 1753–1763), 1753. Coin struck in Leipzig. Obverse: Crowned bust of August III the Saxon (King of Poland; Elector of Saxony; 1696–1763) in right profile, legend 'D.G.AUGUSTUS.III.REX.POLONIARUM'. Reverse: Under the crown a five-opel shield between branches with the Polish, Lithuanian, and Saxon coats of arms; below the letters 'E.DC'; inscription 'SAC.ROM.IMP.ARCHIM. ET ELECT.1753'. Weight 6.95 g., A round metallic object with a warm golden color showing a raised profile of a person wearing a decorative crown and a draped garment with visible folds and patterned details; the outer edge features a repeating beaded rim and a band of raised characters encircling the portrait; the surface shows fine scratches and slight variations in the golden tone.
