Gdansk ducat; Lesse, Daniel (1656–1685); John II Casimir Vasa (King of Poland, 1648–1668); obverse: crowned bust of the king, right profile, wearing the Order of the Golden Fleece on the chest, within a rope rim inscribed 'IOH.CAS.DGR POL.& SUEC.MDLRP'; reverse: coat of arms held by two lions, wreath surrounding a flower at top, cartouche dividing letters 'DL' at bottom, corded rim inscribed 'MON:AUREA CIVITAT.GEDANENS.1666'; dated 1666; Gdansk, Poland; coin; weight 3.44 g., A round metallic object with a golden color showing raised decorative relief; the surface includes a central oval cartouche flanked by a pair of stylized animals and topped by an ornamental crown-like motif, with intricate scrollwork and floral details around the center and along the border; the edge shows a slightly irregular rim and the metal displays subtle variations in golden tones with areas of darker patina and light wear.
