Gold crown coin of Stanislaw August Poniatowski (King of Poland; 1764–1795). Obverse: head of Stanislaw August, inscription around rim 'STANISLAUS AUG. D. G. REX POL. MDL', pearl border. Reverse: under a crown, five-field coat of arms with the coats of arms of Poland (eagle), Lithuania (Pogon), and the Poniatowski family (Ciolek); date shown as 1794 (inscribed as 17–94), letters 'MV' and '4.GR.' at bottom, around inscription divided by a crown: '83½ EX MARCA-PURA COLON:', pearl border, diagonally fluted edge. Coin, 1794, Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth; diameter ~26.3–26.7 mm; weight 5.27 g.
