denarius, Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1086–1138), Romanesque style, c. 1125–1138, Poland, Kraków; coin; obverse: in beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon; under the knight's right elbow, an isosceles cross topped with balls (one arm intersects the other at ~1/3 length); reverse: in triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls with a central ball at the intersection and two radiating balls (one smaller, one larger; two show a dot); diameter 12.4–12.9 mm, weight 0.48 g.
