denarius, Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1086–1138 / reign 1107–1138), Romanesque style, ca. 1125–1138, Poland, Kraków; coin (denarius); diameter 12.5–12.9 mm; weight 0.65 g. Obverse: in the linear border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an inverted dragon. Reverse: in the triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with spheres (one dot on each), a dot at the crossing of the arms, and a sun (dot) between the spheres.
