Denarius, Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1107–1138). Obverse: in a beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon. Reverse: in a triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls; at the intersection of the arms a ball; one ball between the arms. Iconography: spearhead, chain mail, equal-armed cross, crosses, knight, martyrs, mouth, dragons, fight between good and evil, fight against pagans, Adalbert (Saint; ca. 956–997). Style: Romanesque. Date: ca. 1125–1138. Place: Poland, Kraków. Coin. Diameter 13.1–13.3 mm. Weight 0.45 g.
