Lithuanian obol, Sigismund II Augustus (King of Poland; 1544–1572), Jagiellonians (dynasty). Silver coin (obol) from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, 1546, struck in Vilnius. Obverse: in the rim under the ducal mitre a shield with a tied monogram composed of the letters SA Rw; in the rim a shield with the Columns of Gediminas coat of arms; on the sides the date 15–46 (1546). Polish coin; heraldic shields, tied monograms. Diameter ca. 11–12 mm; weight 0.22 g.
