Denarius of Boleslaw III Krzywousty (Prince of Poland; 1107–1138). Obverse: in the beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon; motifs include knights, chain mail, spear(s), dragons, jaws, allegory of fight between good and evil, reference to Saint Adalbert. Reverse: in the triple beaded border, an isosceles (equal-armed) cross topped with balls; between its arms, one ball. Romanesque style; ca. 1125–1138. Poland, Kraków. Coin; diameter 12.9 mm; weight 0.35 g.
