Légende
Denarius, Boleslaw III Krzywousty (prince of Poland; 1086–1138). Obverse: in the beaded border, a knight in chain mail thrusting a spearhead into the jaws of an upside-down dragon. Reverse: in the triple beaded border, an isosceles cross topped with balls; at the intersection of the arms a ball; one arm intersects the other at approximately 1/3 of its length. Allegorical imagery: knights, dragons, martyrs, fight against pagans, fight between good and evil; depiction of Adalbert (Saint; ca. 956–997). Romanesque style. Issue mark: spearhead. Date: ca. 1125–1138. Poland, Kraków. Coin. Diameter 11.5–11.9 mm. Weight 0.44 g.
